Lewis is one of the main protagonists in Water Demons.
Formerly a tamed steed, he returned to the wild to be with his mate Kiersten.
Lewis is a very bulky and strong freshwater kelpie stallion, similarly built to a draft horse. He has white/grayish fur with dark red stripes and mane. He has a big scar on his neck and two different colored eyes (right eye is red, left eye is blue).
In abyssal form, Lewis has blue and purple shades with a reddish gradient toward his back and tail. His fins mostly keep the appearance of his mane, and are also divided into two parts where he has his neck scar. His gills are glowing in red and white colors. His tail tip is very fish-like.
Once a tamed kelpie, Lewis was apparently a very docile stallion. Now that he has returned to the wild, he quickly adapted and is not as calm as he once was. However, he will always prefer to solve situations without fighting, but will not hesitate to attack if he has no other choice left, and will not give any chance to his opponent. He is known to lose his temper easily but can still control himself enough not to go full rampage, even in very desperate situations.
Despite being cold and hostile to strangers, Lewis is surprisingly very soft with his close family, especially his mate Kiersten. He is a very caring partner who is very concerned about her well-being, though he also likes to annoy her and joke around to strengthen their bond.
Kiersten
Kiersten and Lewis are mates ; as kelpies mate for life, their bond is unbreakable. Lewis is extremely caring and devoted to her, but the two also know how to keep a little bit of independence (especially when it's hunting time, as kelpies like to be alone while hunting). They have a great respect and trust each other.
Wilbur
Lewis is a very caring father, more prone to play with his son than Kiersten who is more serious and less playful around Wilbur. He is willing to let his son see Vasco even if he is not fond of the idea, knowing having a friend makes Wilbur happy. He seems globally less severe than Kiersten is toward Wilbur, but is still very protective of his foal.
Vasco
Vasco isn't very welcome in Pleasance, but Lewis ends up tolerating him because it is obvious that Vasco is no threat. Lewis recognizes that Wilbur and Vasco are friends, and is allowing the two to see each other when he is around to watch them. Despite Vasco being an adult kelpie, Lewis doesn't seem very impressed by him and knows he is intimidating to Vasco.
