Vasco is a young freshwater kelpie stallion.
He is a wanderer and has no territory of his own, which is why he stays in Pleasance.
He bonded with the kelpie family, especially Wilbur and Lewis.
Vasco is a common-looking freshwater kelpie. He is white, with reddish gradients and stripes. He has golden eyes and a dark red mane, which looks almost black. His most notable characteristic is the fact that he has whiskers on his snout.
His abyssal appearance is brightly colored, showing shades of green and yellow. He has many yellow fins, as well as a long, tadpole-like tail. His whiskers are much longer and float around him when swimming.
Vasco, as a solitary kelpie, is constantly looking for food and pure water, to the point he dared enter Pleasance, knowing that Kiersten and Lewis already claimed this territory. Even if he is courageous enough to steal their prey, he is still quite skittish and flees when another adult kelpie approaches him.
If Vasco is scared of facing Lewis, it is not the case with Wilbur, who seems to enjoy the company of a new friend. In his company, he shows a more humorous and playful side. Vasco knows a lot about the outside world and enjoys talking about the other species in the Crater.
He likes to draw in the sand using his kelp. He claims he is only beginning.
▪ Vasco's name was revealed in the freshwater kelpie guide. His design slightly changed in the webcomic, with the addition of a gradient on his back, and of course, his whiskers.
▪ His whiskers are quite expressive, moving a lot depending on his emotions.
▪ Vasco's abyssal form colors were chosen to express the character's positive and joyful personality. His green color is the reason for his famous "frog" nickname, given by Wilbur and Kiersten, and adopted by the readers as well.
